The 2024 David Soules Scholarship is OPEN!

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to announce that the David Soules 2024 Scholarship, initiated by the Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project, is now open for applications! The David Soules Conservation Scholarship was established in 2021 to commemorate the legacy of an exceptional local conservationist.

Nuestra Tierra is committed to granting two deserving New Mexico State University students a scholarship worth $1,000 each, enabling them to continue their pursuit of studies in the field of conservation.

The application deadline is set for Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:59 PM MST. If you have any inquiries or require further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Emily at emily@nuestra-tierra.org.

Awardees will receive notifications by the beginning of the spring semester. We welcome applications from all interested individuals, but it's important to note that this scholarship is specifically intended for current New Mexico State University students. We are especially keen on receiving and giving preference to applications from underserved students who identify as low-income, first-generation, and/or BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color).
