Stock Donations

Nuestra Tierra now accepts stock donations! 

Charitable giving doesn’t always mean cash. When you donate stock, you may earn 2-3 times the tax savings opposed to donating cash. you avoid capital gains tax while deducting 100% of the value of the contribution. and .

We also accept publicly traded individual stocks, ETFs, or mutual funds. For any other securities you wish to donate, please contact us for more details.

Planned Giving

A legacy gift to Nuestra Tierra is an investment that provides endless support to our mission of bridging the gap between historically excluded communities and their access to protected outdoor spaces.

Making long-term investments in Nuestra Tierra helps us sustain and grow our vision to advance environmental conservation and social equity through community building, policy advocacy, and youth empowerment.

Types of Planned Gifts:

  • Including Nuestra Tierra in your will. 
  • Designating Nuestra Tierra as a beneficiary of your retirement plan such as a 401k, 403b, or IRA
  • Naming Nuestra Tierra as a beneficiary of your fully funded life insurance policy
  • Transferring stocks, bonds, or shares of mutual funds for the benefit of Nuestra Tierra

Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

A donor-advised fund, or DAF,  is like a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about.  Donating through a DAF allows donors to potentially grow their donation tax-free, make charitable donations to charities they love at a pace that is comfortable for them, and receive an immediate tax deduction. 

A DAF is a simple, flexible, and tax-advantageous way to give to Nuestra Tierra.

We’ve registered our nonprofit with Meta to receive donations through Facebook and Instagram! 

Consider creating a social media campaign to maximize your impact in support of the Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project.

1. When creating a post, click the three dots at the bottom right of the pop-up screen

2. Select the “Raise Money” option

3. Search for “Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project”

4. You can now either finish the post or add text letting your friends and family know why they should support Nuestra Tierra

1. When posting to your Story, click the smiley icon at the top right of the screen

2. Select the “Donation” option

4. Click on the pop-up to edit the donation details

6. Post to your story! The fundraiser lasts for 30 days and you can edit it anytime from a link that automatically becomes available in your bio.
